Tabriz cinemas to host ‘Damascus Time’ director

Iran city of Tabriz is set to host acclaimed title ‘Damascus Time’ with his great Iranian director in attendance.

Two cinemas in the city which serves as provincial capital of East Azerbaijan will hold Friday screening sessions for the Fajr fest pick.

In both screenings, director Ebrahim Hatamikia will be among the audiences.

Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ focuses on security threats by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged in Damascus Airport.

Popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar as well as a number of actors from Syria and Lebanon star in the movie.

‘Damascus Time’ has recently managed to grab some awards, including Crystal Simorgh for Best Director, at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Reports said a large number of people went to screenings held in movie theaters of various Iranian cities. The tremendous events have attracted sold-out audiences.
